ECMA Artists - On The Road 'Canadian Music. East Coast Style'
at the Folk Alliance International Conference in Memphis
(Charlottetown, PE) - The East Coast Music Association is leading the charge with the largest contingent of East Coast artists and companies at the 22nd annual Folk Alliance International Conference (FAI) in Memphis, Tennessee from February 17th - 21st.
For the last six years, ECMA has organized an annual Atlantic Canadian trade mission to FAI 'Canadian Music East Coast Style' - a partnership of the East Coast Music Association, Music New Brunswick, Music Newfoundland and Labrador, Music Nova Scotia, and Music Prince Edward Island.
"Over the last several years, we have developed a strong east coast footprint and this year has the largest contingent of Canadian showcasing artists. Showcasing our export-ready artists in Memphis is extremely important for export business development and our ultimate goal is to give artists the tools to expand into new markets" says Shelley Nordstrom, ECMA Export Manager.
The collective will consists of over 40 participants including 13 showcasing artists, six management/ companies, organization representatives and ECMA. Showcasing artists include: Jessica Rhaye (NB), Samantha Robichaud (NB),Thom Swift (NS/ NB), Old Man Luedecke (NS), Rose Cousins (NS/PE), Amelia Curran (NS/ NL), Madison Violet (NS), The Dardanelles (NL), The Navigators (NL), The Once (NL), Shanneyganock (NL), Colette Cheverie &Tim Chaisson (PE) and Nudie & The Turks (PE)
ECMA artists will be a part of the Performance Alley Showcases, as well as host three evenings of music showcases and participate in the trade show fair, Canadian Music. East Coast Style at FAI 2010. For a full showcasing schedule, visit www.ecma.com.
