Folk rock singer-songwriter Joseph Edgar begins the New Year in top

of the Year category at the 2010 East Coast Music Awards, offers itself
up almost like a prayer, a torment, a lament. The haunting timber of the
voice, accompanied by music both soothing and piercing, draws the
listener into one of the more striking songs yet released by the singer.
The video, directed by Joseph Edgar, plunges us deep into the essence
of the song, and, one can believe, in the most personal essence of the
artist as well.

Hogan Media Relations and MIMEfest 2010 are pleased to announce the
EAST COAST LOUD TOUR – Road to the 2010 East Coast Music Awards
which will bring together all 6 maritime artists nominated for the 2010 East
Coast Music Award ‘Loud Recording of the Year’. The Tour will see Big Game
Hunt, Black Moor, The Motorleague, Shelter with Thieves, Uncooperative
Death and We, the Undersigned performing the following 4 dates the week
prior to the annual awards and conference.
Wednesday, February 24th – Fredericton @ Nicky Zees
Thursday, February 25th – Halifax @ Gus’ Pub
Friday, February 26th – Moncton @ Manhattan
Saturday, February 27th – Saint John @ Sun Star Lounge
Outside of the East Coast Music Awards & Conference this is one of the
rare occasions where 6 ECMA artists will grace the same stage in one
evening let alone in four Maritime cities. Co-organizer Don Levandier
commented “It's amazing to see bands who would normally never play
together being unitedby an ECMA nomination”. In addition to helping put
together the tour Levandier is also guitar and vocalist in The Motorleague
who are nominated for a total of three East Coast Music Awards including
the ‘Loud Recording of the Year’ award.
“This is another great achievement for heavy music in Canada’s east
coast.” commented fellow organizer and head of Hogan Media Relations
and Diminished Fifth Records Josh Hogan who was responsible for having
the ‘LOUD’ category added to the annual awards back in 2009. “Having all
6 bands nominated for ‘Loud recording of the Year’ to perform this tour t
ogether just goes to show how strong the heavy music scene is in this
region

6. Music for Life Fundraising Concerts (which recently became officially
not-for-profit), Friends of Healthcare Foundation and the Brasserie 1026
would like to announce that this years fundraising concert to help fight
cancer in our local area, will be held Friday April 16, 2010 from 4pm-11+pm.
Last year our concert raised nearly $3,000 dollars for the local Zone 5
hospital, which helped them buy two new cancer diagnostic microscopes
and we are hoping to raise more this year. Last years attendees were
treated to the sounds of 5 singer/songwriters (Emilie Landry, Emilie Bernard,
Melissa Girvan, Rick Hutchinson and Christian Ouellet aka Punch), 2 full
bands (C’Nzote and the James Young Band) as well as a magical act from
Don Bernard. This year, it’s the same line-up with the addition of the
CountryBoys and hopefully Les Akadiyes will be able to perform as well.
We invite you to join the fight against cancer in our local area by attending
the concert at the Brasserie 1026 located in the City Centre Mall,
Campbellton, NB the gateway to the Maritimes. It is only $10 a ticket for
all that entertainment plus, you are doing your part to help fight cancer.
Tickets are available at the Brasserie 1026 or by contacting Christian
Ouellet (see below). Anyone wishing tax receipts for their donation will
needto visit the Music for Life Fundraising Concerts website:
