1 - Atlantica Live and The Blue Olive present the Winter Blooze Live Concert Video Shoot Series. 3 Friday nights, 3 fantastic shows, 3 Live Concert Video Shoots.
The series will be recorded over 3 Friday nights in February by Atlantica Studios' Mobile Recording Unit and video taped by Hemmings House Pictures to provide DVD quality live concert footage in an intimate setting.
The series will feature DEE and band with special guests on Friday, February 12th; recording artist Kevin Chase with special guest star Kenny Greer (Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, The Roadhammers) and opener Jessica Darrah on Friday, February 19th; and former David Bowie guitarist Wild T & The Spirit on Friday, February 26th.
DEE grew up in Cuba and settled in Saint John, NB. She reached the Top 11 on Canada’s top rated “Canadian Idol” before releasing her very first solo CD “Crazy Love” in 2009. She has signed a deal with MTV/Viacom International that will see her music utilized in new programs of the global network. DEE released an iPhone app in late December that has become an instant hit with thousands of downloads globally and is signing a deal with Samsung Electronics that will embed one of her songs in every Samsung and LG mobile phone manufactured for the next three years.
Rap/Hip-Hop artist “Wilz” is replacing “Zwerg” as opening act, who had to bow out due to a vocal injury. Kyle "Wilz" Willis grew up in the South End of Saint John, and at the age of fourteen performed as Bboy, breakin' along side members of the "PCA Dance Crew". He quickly became recognized by his slick-quick flow and freestyle delivery. He emerged into an energetic artist and skillful producer of sound and music, specializing in producing beats. Kyle has released mix tapes and is currently working on his first full-length album at Atlantica Studios.
Kevin Chase is living proof that hard work and determination will yield results. For the past 10 years, he has travelled the country, performed at many prestigious festivals (like the Calgary Stampede) and clubs, made national TV appearances, released two critically acclaimed albums, received ECMA nominations and had 2 Top 40 hits. Most of 2009 was spent on writing new material, recording the upcoming CD Round 3 and tightening up the new band. The upcoming video shoot will be the first time that Kevin and his new band with special guest star Kenny Greer will be performing all of the material from “Round 3” live, along with favorites from the first 2 CDs. “Round 3” will be released world-wide this spring.
Saint John singer/songwriter Jessica Darrah will open the show.
Tony “Wild T” Springer has hung with the best of them. David Bowie, Jeff Healey, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Jay Leno, David Letterman and Arsenio Hall are just some of the musical acts and personalities that have been blown away by Wild T's guitar. He has toured with Bon Jovi and Deep Purple throughout North America and has performed thousands of club shows. In '99 he was asked to portray Jimi Hendrix in Daydream Believers - The Monkees Story because of his resemblance and showmanship. Today, Wild T & The Spirit have become a staple at festivals throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
All shows will be video taped at the Blue Olive in Saint John, NB. Limited reserved seating tickets are now on sale for $ 15.00 (+ tax) each at the Blue Olive, 419 Rothesay Ave., 506.634.3183.

3 - Penny Blacks and Adam Mowery Bring Valentine's Extravaganza Back to Port City for Third Year
Attention swingers, lovers, cool cats, rebels, guys, dolls and wallflowers!
Get yourselves primed for Saint Valentine in style by heading to Peppers to count down to V-Day with some martinis and smooth, cool sounds for lovers, performed as only Adam Mowery and Penny Blacks could!
It's no secret that Blacks and Mowery are hot commodities, especially during the season of lovers. This powerhouse duo of charm, talent and - let's face it - just pure, good old-fashioned showmanship are in high demand everywhere from the Hamptons to the Vegas Strip. But they turned down every offer, every plea, every court-enforced dictum in order to return to the glittering diamond tip of New Brunswick's industrial drill press, Saint John.
"We’ve got a soft spot for this town," says Mowery. "We had such a gas here last year that we had to cajole the band into making the trip once more. It took some doing, but we finally tracked them down at their current address: the Motel 6 off I-95 in Saugus, Mass. Then all we had to do was assure them that the complimentary continental breakfast provided in Saint John included unlimited refills on coffee. Plus, you just don't turn down offers in the double digits. I mean, come on – none of us are made of stone."
Last year’s event was such a rousing success, in fact, that this year the show had to be moved to the much larger and exceedingly opulent Showroom at Peppers . Taking full advantage of the increased room to cut a rug, Blacks and Mowery were indeed fortunate to reconnect with their all-star band, the legendary Hard Feelings.
"These cats are in the groove, baby. We're talking about some of the most road-worn, musically promiscuous, legendary tappers and twitchers that have ever trod the boards, man!" Blacks assures. "There ain't nobody these charlies ain't backed up, and they got the chops to show for it. We were just rehearsing the other night, and I turned to Adam and I said – no word of a lie – 'this is really starting to sound like a seven-dollar show!'”
The evening will kick off with a set of heart-bustin' croonin' by Mr. Penny Blacks, followed by a swoon-inducing performance by Mr. Adam Mowery. At this point, you might think that you have gotten your money's worth already. But no, the entertainment doesn't stop there!
Mr. Blacks and Mowery will cap the evening with a final return to the stage TOGETHER, for a show-stopping set of "Covers for Lovers", backed by the legendary HARD FEELINGS!
It's a Rat Pack/Vegas theme, so don't be afraid to put on that jacket and tie, or that sassy little cocktail dress!
XOXO
The event takes place at Peppers Pub, 1 Market Square, on Saturday, February 13.
Showtime: 10:30 PM. Admission: $5 (ADVANCE) $7 (DOOR). Tickets available at Peppers Pub & Backstreet Records.
