Music Newfoundland & Labrador, Music Nova Scotia, Music New Brunswick and Music Prince Edward Island, in collaboration with the East Coast Music Association, are extremely proud to announce MIA Fest, a cooperative showcase stage featuring seven artists from each Atlantic Music Industry Association (MIA).

MIA Fest will be an exciting mix of artists from all genres, programmed by the MIAs from each province. It will take place Thursday, March 4 to Saturday, March 6 at the Capri Cabaret, 235 Charlotte Street in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

This is the first time such collaboration has taken place and promises to be the hottest ticket in town.

“Of fundamental importance to ECMA and our members is the collaboration we enter into with the four provincial Music Industry Associations,” says Su Hutchinson, Executive Director of the East Coast Music Association. “This spirit of partnership will be made manifest in this exceptional stage at ECMA 2010.”

The diverse selection of artists will range from new emerging groups such as Newfoundland and Labrador’s The Once and Nova Scotia’s Three Sheet to more established artists like Catherine MacLellan from PEI and The Divorcees from New Brunswick. Tickets are only available at the door, starting at 8 p.m. each night. See the full schedule below.

Artists will soon be announced for a second stage, MIA Fest Part II, at the Crown and Moose
Pub in the Delta Hotel Thursday, March 4 through Sunday, March 7. Each MIA will host a
segment of the weekend. The schedule will be as follows:
Music NB: Thursday, March 4 - 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Friday, March 5 - 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Music NL: Thursday, March 4 - 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, March 5 - 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Music NS: Saturday, March 6 - 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Music PEI: Sunday, March 7 - 2:00 - 6:00 p.m.
