2018 Midis Musique programming unveiled
Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc (DMCI), in collaboration with the Capitol Theatre, is proud to announce the line-up for this year’s edition of Midis Musique, the free summer concert series in Oak Lane, held every Wednesday from noon to 1:00 p.m. throughout July and August.
DMCI is committed to creating an attractive, inviting atmosphere throughout the downtown – and Oak Lane is the perfect location to experience downtown Moncton and is fast becoming a coveted urban space where downtown workers, residents and visitors have an opportunity to relax and enjoy a break.
Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc. promotes leisure and cultural activities in the heart of the city. From large-scale community events that draw tens of thousands of people, to smaller more intimate gatherings and everything in between, DMCI is a strong supporter of downtown events and festivals and is pleased to offer programming in Oak Lane. “Midis Musique is our way of encouraging up-and-coming artists all the while adding to the downtown experience for the lunchtime crowd in Oak Lane” said Anne Poirier Basque, Executive Director of Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc.
One of the leading entertainment providers in the region, the Capitol Theatre, developed the programming for Midis Musique. Kim Rayworth, the Capitol Theatre’s Managing Director is excited about this year’s line-up, “We are thrilled to partner once again with DMCI to present Midis Musique and create more opportunities for the public to discover up and coming local artists.”
