ADYN TOWNES releases debut ‘After The Fall’

Posted by

No stranger to the music industry, Adyn Townes (who performed for more than a decade under his given name Andy Brown) rebranded under a new moniker after a fall in the Atlantic Ocean in late 2015 left him with a serious shoulder injury and unable to perform. It was during his yearlong recovery period that Townes began experimenting with a new, more alternative sound.

“I couldn’t play guitar, so I just hummed every idea that popped into my head and recorded it on my phone. Over time, I began to realize that the songs were different than anything I’d ever written before, and that made me really excited. When it was finally time to start playing guitar again, I realized that my acoustic was still a bit too wide to play comfortably so I made the switch to electric guitar, which opened up even more possibilities.”

Townes will be releasing his debut album ‘After The Fall’ on Friday July 13th, 2018. Produced by Colin Buchanan (Paper Lions, Sorrey, KINLEY), the 10-track album embodies the feeling of change that has been a recurring theme in Townes life over the past few years.

"This album is the most ‘true to me’ thing I’ve ever written. I’ve always approached songwriting from a very personal place, but typically my words have focused on the past instead of the present. ‘After The Fall’ speaks to where I’m at now, and highlights a very real and honest change in the way I approach not only songwriting, but life in general.”
