Front of House Lead and Volunteer Coordinator

General Accountability:

The Capitol Theatre is looking for a bilingual Front of House Lead and as a Volunteer Coordinator. This individual should expect to work 35-40 hours a week and the salary is $15/hour.

In short, this person will schedule himself/herself as the lead FOH to a number of events each week, as well as manage our new volunteer scheduling software. He/she will also be the individual responsible to train other FOH managers when necessary, train our new volunteers and be the go-to person for volunteers and patrons at our events.

The roles and responsibilities for this new position will evolve over time, but we are looking to add a designated individual to our team who will be present at our events on a more frequent basis who will be able to identify issues facing our excellent delivery of service by our FOH staff and volunteers, ensuring an enhanced patron experience.

Duties include:

Establish monthly schedules for the Front of House Managers and volunteers
Supervising volunteer ushers, and concession operations
Liaise between Capitol Theatre technical and security staff
Liaise between Production Managers and Stage Managers
Work in conjunction with Box Office Staff on all seating and ticketing problems to ensure best customer service
Provide professional, knowledgeable service to patrons and staff
Ensuring safety, security and comfort for patrons.
Performs other related duties as required

The Front of House Lead/Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and is a full-time position.

The schedule is flexible and includes day, evening and weekend shifts.
