The Capitol Theatre is proud to present cellist Lydia Mainville, as part of the SCENE NB concert series, Thursday, April 12 at 7:30pm. Presented at the Empress Theatre in collaboration with Music NB, this series of monthly concerts features exciting artists creating, recording and producing now, from across New Brunswick. Tickets are now on sale at the Capitol Box Office and are priced at $15.

Lydia Mainville is a cellist, singer-songwriter and fiddler's daughter from Darling's Island, NB. At once an innovator and traditionalist, she creates experimental folk music steeped in classical and celtic roots. Her delicate melodies float over looped soundscapes that ebb and flow like the tide. In her hands, the cello sings with ever-changing voices: the call of seabirds, a distant train whistle, gentle rain. Lydia's expressive sounds echo in concert halls, farmer's markets, and living rooms across Canada.
