She Said Feck Records Announces Initial Launch
Music aficionado and proud scene supporter Kate Butler has been busy working behind the scenes to launch her record label and management company, She Said Feck Records out of Fredericton, NB.
She Said Feck Records will operate both as an artist management company and a record label. The label will host local Fredericton pop/punk four piece CHIPS and blues/rock trio The Tortoise the Hare & the Millionaire for the initial launch. Plans are already in the works to add additional artists.
Butler has been a long time supporter of the New Brunswick music and arts community and in the past several years has engrossed herself in the business side of the music community working with The Capital Complex, Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. Shivering Songs Festival, Forward Music Group as well with several local musicians as manager and mentor.
"I've always supported the DIY method and any musician in New Brunswick knows it essentially starts there. With several artists under my wing in a manager role, it was the next logical step to launch a record label to leverage the hard work the artists are doing right here at home."
Pop punk four piece CHIPS will be the first band to release under the She Said Feck Label with a single and video titled Modern Days to be released Tuesday February 27th. A full length album will follow from CHIPS in summer of 2018.
Label mates The Tortoise the Hare and the Millionaire are currently working on their first EP to be released summer 2018 and have several shows coming up in NB and NS with the Andrew Moore Band.
An official record label launch party which is being co-presented by Pension Clothing Co., will take place at The Capital Complex March 2nd with live performances from CHIPS, Diner Drugs and FireRescue.
The She Said Feck Record launch show will also make its way to Moncton on March 3rd at The Tide and Boar w performances from CHIPS, FireRescue and Radium Doxy.
