AX, the Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex

Bluegrass, Classical, Folk
Role:

AX, the Arts and Culture Centre of Sussex, is a multi-disciplinary, charitable organization. We present dynamic exhibitions, art and fine craft workshops, and live music concerts and literary readings. Our building is located in the heart of Sussex, New Brunswick, and consists of a licensed restaurant and patio called Knocks Café, a professional gallery, a fully-equipped ceramics centre, and artists’ studios.

We host 6-8 concerts per year in our gallery space, which accommodates 40-50 seats depending on the current exhibition – see below for gallery dimensions. On average, we charge $25/ticket for our gallery concerts. Please use this as a guide when determining your performance fee. We also host the occasional concert at the Sussex Regional High School in their newly renovated, soft-seat theatre that accommodates approximately 350 people.

The proposal review jury meets every few months to evaluate proposals, and we try to bring in a variety of musical genres. We appreciate the time and effort you put into submitting your proposal. Visit https://axartscentre.ca/music/ to download a proposal form.
