Saint John, New Brunswick’s SHAMPER’S BLUFF is a band playing mixed styles of adult contemporary, folk-rock and pop with melding hook-filled melody and thoughtful lyrics. Singer Stephen Calder began songwriting when he was 17. Having an interest in performing arts, he studied Theatre at Dalhousie University from 1992-1994, and later played the lead character on YTV’s series, Surf Shack.

Guitarist, Guy Guitard is a founding member of the East Coast Music Award nominated band, Taxi, for 2004 Pop Recording of the Year. The band opened for acts such as Tom Cochrane, and Measha Brueggergosman.

Together, these guys compact a vast array of musical influences and experience into their own sound. The two perform as a pared-down duo, and bring in other musicians to form a full ensemble depending on the requirements of the show.
