Hit the Road: Developing touring markets, from local to international

An informal exploration and chat around the how to make the right the decisions to grow, including when to hire help (and who to hire), when to expand, when to consolidate, and more. Neil is a freelance artists development professional, currently working with Rose Cousins, Della Mae, Oh Susanna and more on UK touring and marketing strategies, and works with a number of UK artists on domestic planning and strategies. For the past 10 years he has worked with every UK artist attending Folk Alliance, and programmes the UK suite at the event.

The idea of making a music video can seem intimidating and out of reach for many artists. Director Tim Rayne (The Capital Project) will present and discuss how to make music videos on a budget. The workshop will include topics such as the three stages of production, how to build a film crew, and the art of being of being resourceful.
