Cat LeBlanc is a New Brunswick singer/songwriter whose compositions are extremely personal in their lyrical imagery. She has collaborated with New Brunswick and international music artists and is currently being mentored in songwriting by Canadian award-winning singer/songwriter Dan Hill and New Brunswick singer/songwriter Debbie Adshade.

Cat was recently accepted as a musician in residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. The residency is from January 7-27 in 2018.

Cat’s original music was recently purchased and spotlighted in a popular web series https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CvKX5lIBTA. Following that, the television rights for two other pieces of her music were licensed for a television production.

“I’m so excited to be going to Banff. Dan Hill is thrilled for me. He told me that when he was starting out as a singer/songwriter, these mentorship/networking opportunities didn’t exist. He met people informally through performances at little cafes and other venues.”

Cat is a member of SOCAN, MusicNB, Folk Music Canada, The East Coast Music Association and the NB Film Co-op. She has a body of original songs to her credit and has also done music for film and commercials.

Cat has been lucky to receive artistic music grants to help her further her music craft. She credits artsnb, MusicNB, The Canada Council for the Arts, Charlotte Street Arts Centre, Shivering Songs and the province of New Brunswick and Dan and Debbie for their strong support.
