A scruffy, rough-around-the-edges group decked out in plaid and denim, The Tortoise The Hare & The Millionaire are grounded in a sort of no-nonsense, straight-shooting blues rock. However, the group flits effortlessly from genre to genre, not in a tacky way, but in a way that represents the grand scope of their influences, their willingness to play around and explore, and the continued growth of their relationships, both in terms of friendship and musicianship. With the recent addition of two permanent horn players, the sound of THTM has evolved to a lousiana blues influence while still remaining their strong blues rock roots.
Their 2019 ended on a super high note opening for the acclaimed Amy Helm at the Cloggeroo Festival in PEI and closing out the summer festival circuit opening for Saturday Night Harvest Jazz and Bluess headliners Ariel Posen and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Nightsweats to a large hometown crowd.
