Jaclyn Reinhart Music

Indie, Rock, Roots
Rôle:

Saint John, New Brunswick-based singer-songwriter Jaclyn Reinhart is a no-holds-barred roots-rock artist whose main influences include Americana icons such as Sheryl Crow and Tom Petty. She has been nominated twice for Music New Brunswick Awards, for Best Solo Recording (2016) and Recording of The Year in 2022, and this spring showcased at East Coast Music Week in Charlottetown, PEI.

On her most recent EP, 2021’s Sleep With Ghosts, which was nominated for the Music NB Recording of the Year and firmly put herself on the Canadian musical map. Three songs from the EP made it onto Exclaim! Magazine’s “Eh List” Spotify playlist.

Formed in 2021, the Jaclyn Reinhart Band adds compelling rhythmic and harmonic dimensions to Jaclyn’s songs, with an on-stage chemistry that is truly infectious and an electrifying live show that is not to be missed. The band has featured at major Maritime events such as Area 506, Rising Tide Festival and Canada Day Fredericton, sharing the stage with the likes of The Arkells, Mother Mother, The Trews and Suzie Vinnick. In 2021/2022 she toured across the Maritimes and Ontario, both solo and with her band.

After recently being chosen to participate in Saint John’s Songs of the City project that showcases storytellers' life experience of overcoming adversity and writing a song to bring their experience and message to life in a positive and uplifting way she has been inspired to build a new recording project rooted in the human experience.

“As a performing songwriter, my art comes from an honest place shaped by life's hard lessons and perseverance because I’ve lived it. I have a job as a creator with an important message of perseverance through my songwriting. Now more than ever I want to offer deeper insight and creativity as an artist,” says Jaclyn. “I have built a profile and represented New Brunswick showcasing what we offer as song creators. Throughout my career, I worked towards expanding my skills and creating connections through my art, this has always been a constant. This has given me a strong base as I continue to grow through self-study and especially co-writing.”

“What do you do with a good song that shouldn’t just be consumed like a flash in the pan? Create a video to give it immortality, which Jaclyn Reinhart has done exactly right here. “Clearly I’m not on your mind… I’d rather sleep with ghosts than lie in cold shadows of who you’re really dreaming of” — timeless lyrics, set to a slow tempo of longing.”

"A significant step forward for this New Brunswick singer-songwriter, who put out an album and an E.P. in the 2010's. Now with a lot more confidence and development, Reinhart has worked hard finding the right framing for her personal lyrics. The result is a rootsier sound with tighter arrangements and some fine hooks and catchy choruses."
