The Lost Chord is a cooperative music ensemble based out of Moncton, founded in 1993 by original members Louis Marc Vautour, Kevin McIntyre, Jason Perreira and Yazon Kinney. After being based in Toronto from 1997-2017 Louis Marc relocated back home to Moncton and started the next leg of the journey, exploring the new domain of global music and fusing those colourful sounds with western popular song formats.
Building the new analog hybrid studio, Chez Louis, in the Jones Lake area, the ensemble has been working on collaborations with several local artists in a very creative traditional analog tape recording process. During the time off during the pandemic, with the goal of reaching out to new Canadians and to cultures around the world, The Lost Chord has been learning traditional instruments from China, India, Syria, Morocco, Turkey, Chile and many more. They strive to bring these new sounds to a Western audience to facilitate cross-cultural sharing and collaboration. To that end The Lost Chord are releasing their first original collaborative songs with the Moncton band Arabika, featuring vocals in the Arabic language, celebrating the Arabic Heritage Month. Now celebrating their 31st active year, The Lost Chord look forward to their future collaborations with the talented artists from Moncton.

Remember when music had meaning, substance, and depth? Can you remember being able to put on a record, sit back, and enjoy the journey it took you on? So many music fans complain that with the evolution of technology, the beauty of the human element in music has been lost.
No more.
The Lost Chord have toured across Canada several times. They have composed music for film, television and award winning documentaries. In 2006 they composed the campaign theme song for the Premier of New Brunswick, and in 2008 were nominated for Best Indie Rock band at the Ontario Independent Music Awards. The band recently held the #1 spot on the CIUT Top 30 charts for three weeks.
If you are sick of some of the modern music trends, where technology replaces musicians with computers and turntables, then The Lost Chord will be a refreshing slice of tasty Rock n Roll that is not to be missed.
