Baby Teeth • Motherhood

"As per the special brand of curated weird that Motherhood has so carefully cultivated, ‘Baby Teeth’ has been created in their image, provided that image is one of a massively obese reptilian beast sashaying about in a moo-moo whilst over-indulging in Mai Tais because it doesn’t care that it’s only her cousin’s place overlooking the Saint John harbour, it’s all the vacation she’s going to get this summer. It is heavy, and weird. It might be sweet at times, but it’s full of teeth, and not above shouting at you, especially if you aren’t quick with the drinks, and ready to rub her bunions. " – Alex Cook • The East

Eidolon • ZAUM

"What makes Zaum’s music so intoxicating is the sheer density of their sound. Layers of synths, sitars, flutes and who knows what else, build up to create a foundation of all-encompassing drone for the bands epic compositions. Chris Lewis’ drumming provides a solid backbone for these mammoth voyages into the beyond but Kyle McDonald’s bass is the key ingredient to Zaum’s success." Charlie Butler • The Sludgelord

Fear Agent • Fear Agent

Fear Agent is a punk/trash/metal band from Moncton and comprises Adam Parsons (guitar), Rene LeClair (bass guitar), Normand Pothier (drums), and Julian Merlin (vocals)

From Labour to Refreshment • The Divorcees

"There is going back to basics and then there is going beyond basics. The latter approach was the one employed by long-running Moncton outlaw country quartet The Divorcees for the making of From Labour To Refreshment, the group’s fourth full-length effort.

After spreading their wings on 2012’s ambitiously underrated Four Chapters, the band decided to take their love for traditional country music to the extreme. The end result is one of the group’s simplest yet most fulfilling albums to date." – Ken Kelley • The MusicNerd Chronicles

In the Whiteout • Cellarghost

"Carter Boyle’s lyrics are thoughtful, evocative, rich in imagery and truly beautiful. All 12 songs on In The Whiteout stand out on their own, but come together beautifully as one. [... ] Cellarghost has managed to blur the lines between beautiful ballads, anthemic rock, and pummelling post-rock. How do they do it? I’m not sure, but I’m glad they do. – Jane Blanchard (David in the Dark)

paradis, possiblement • Les Jeunes d'Asteure

Weird Lines • Weird Lines

"Weird Lines' debut captures the spirit of an era of East Coast DIY rock that helped define the region: off-the-cuff, slackeresque vibes, guitars that go from soft to snarl, strong pop sensibilities despite the hooks being hidden in feedback." – Matt Williams • NOW Toronto

Why You Wanna Leave, Runaway Queen • Lisa LeBlanc
