Folk, Indie, Pop
Rôle:

Abby McCartney (she/her) is a Fredericton-based emerging singer-songwriter originally from Miramichi, NB. She has wasted no time in making her mark on the NB indie music scene in a very short period of time.

Since winning the Jane Leblanc Music Award in August 2022, she has released her self-produced single “Tired” in collaboration with Colin Fowlie, showcased at the 2023 ECMAs, filmed an artist spotlight with Nancy Regan for Roger’s TV, been featured on local and national radio, and released her debut EP “Everything At Once.”

Self-taught at guitar, her acoustic melodies, smooth vocals, and vulnerable lyrics focus heavily on emotion and storytelling. Her main influences are artists such as Leith Ross, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. Listeners have compared her songs to that of Lizzy McAlpine, Dodie, and Gracie Abrams. "Everything At Once," her 7-track debut EP, is available on all streaming platforms now.
