If Merle Haggard got into a bar fight with the Allman Brothers, you'd get the Baker Beaton Band. A toe-tapping mashup of Country, Blues and Funk brings local legends Brian Baker and Mike Beaton together to perform through a mix of genre standards, deep cuts, original songs, and fun covers. 

Originally from Cape Breton, Mike Beaton comes from the Halifax music scene and was the driving force behind the band ‘The Downtown Getdown’, before branching out as a solo artist. Brian Baker, and his band The Memphis Knights, have been a mainstay of the rockabilly and blues scene for over 10 years and won the 2015 Music New Brunswick Rock Artist Of The Year. 

Together, they put on high energy show full of guitar aerobics and soaring harmonies. Performing as an acoustic duo and a full band, the Baker Beaton Band have been playing all over Atlantic Canada, including festivals such as Floatilla, Rock the Dock, and this years Box Car Country Festival.

Their first single, No Hope in Hell, is on all streaming platforms and blends raw bluegrass picking with that dusty-road country heartache. It’s a song about falling in love with the idea of a person, a person you've never met before.
