Her writing intimate as an annotated novel, her voice pure as the first Robin of Spring, Emma Dawson’s music is a fountain of depth, creativity, and insight into her world and how she views the world around her. Based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Emma is a singer-songwriter whose body of work is steeped in hues of heartbreak, activism and the natural world. Her fragile lyricism is evocative of artists like Lizzie Mcalpine and Adrienne Lenker, while her propensity for hum-along melodies and acoustic guitar playing is like that of folk icon like Noah Kahan.

At only fourteen, Emma has gone from open mics to performing at festivals such as Flourish Festival, Fest Forward and Shivering Songs. She is a recipient of the Jane Leblanc Legacy Arts Capacity Grant, has taken part in the Fredericton girls rock camp for 4 years, and plays rhythm guitar in the indie-rock band The Pigeons. Emma is currently demoing her songs for an upcoming release, and is looking forward to a busy year of live performances.
