His creative presence on stage has captivated listeners of all ages. His peers have recognized his talents by awarding him several prizes and scholarships. Martin conducts research at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT), McGill University, to improve drumset learning methodologies. His research is aimed at developing a haptic technology to aide in learning, as well as, the development of a movement-bases learning system. Having a true passion for music and being inspired by his studies in music-related movements completed by distant learning from the University of Oslo, Martin continues his research to integrate music and movement with a goal to prevent the progressive injuries of percussionists.
