Becky Reesor (she/her) is a classical & contemporary pianist, composer, and teacher based in Saint John, NB. She crafts immersive musical experiences that deepen listeners’ connections with themselves and the world around them. Her work explores both nature and the human experience, weaving rich textures and evocative soundscapes through the piano.
Reesor’s latest album, Stop the Clock, is a meditative journey capturing fleeting moments in and alongside the natural world. Her newest compositions (Felt, Not Said, 2027) turn inward, exploring the heart, gut, and senses. On stage, she infuses solo piano with storytelling and imagery, drawing audiences into a world of shifting colors and stirring rhythms. Rooted in the soul, her music suspends time, inviting introspection and offering moments of stillness and revelation in a world often consumed by noise.
In 2023, Reesor toured her immersive concert Stop the Clock, a fusion of original piano compositions and videography, through Ontario and Quebec. Performance highlights include the Hudson Music Festival, Conrad Grebel University College Concert Series, and the Oasis Musicale Series in Montreal. She self-produced both the album and tour, alongside a self-published piano book featuring illustrations from her video projections.
Alongside her performance career, Reesor runs a thriving international online piano studio, guiding classical and contemporary players of all ages. Since 2023, she has also led free improvisation workshops both online, reaching participants across the UK and North America, and in person, for arts organizations.
Becky Reesor holds a Master of Music from McGill University and a Bachelor of Music from Canadian Mennonite University.
