Blending modern bluegrass rhythms, roots-rock drive, and pop hooks, Zack Ingles’ songs are tied together by lived-in storytelling. In his latest album, Get Ahead, Ingles writes with disarming honesty about mental health - living with PTSD, the ridiculous cost of living, and the absurdity of modern love; all carried by the twang of banjo and the steady pulse of a kick drum.
“Get Ahead” has received praise from every corner of Canada; including regular national airplay on CBC Radio 1 and 3; with the title track being featured on East Coast Music Hour and the song “Weathered Heart” earning more than 60,000 streams since it’s release.
Ingles was the winner of the Scene’s Big Battle of the Bands in 2024 – besting 6 other acts from across the Maritimes. He has shared stages with Canadian greats like: The Dead South, Kathleen Edwards, and Adam Baldwin. Notable appearances have included: Area 506, PaddleFest, Shivering Songs Festival, Winter Warmer Festival, Living Roots Festival, Rising Tides Festival, Sussex SummerFest 2024 (fan choice award), and an annual Christmas Charity Fundraiser Tour that raised over $7,500 for New Brunswick charities in 2025.
Ingles debut full-length album will be released in early 2027 - The new collection of songs is packed with fast-paced bluegrass rhythms and catchy melodies; creating space for honest the exploration of the uncomfortable reality of being human in this time.
