Music·Musique NB (MNB) celebrates the innovation and the creativity of the New Brunswick music industry, with its list of nominees for the 2026 Prix MNB Awards. Leading the pack with four nominations each are Tcheu Misère, an Acadian band, taking inspiration from blues and traditional music, with a modern twist, and Penny and the Pits, a new project from Motherhood’s Penelope Stevens.
Not far behind with three nominations is Valérie Bouchard, a pop-jazz singer-songwriter.
Both the Recording of the Year and Enregistrement de l'année categories feature a wide variety of nominees, recognizing albums in a mix of genres, including country, electronic, jazz, folk, hip-hop, metal, pop, and much more. Since 2019, the MNB Board of Directors has eliminated the "genre" categories, in order to better recognize the quality of music being created in New Brunswick, regardless of genre.
The Prix MNB Awards Show will take place in the Bernard-LeBlanc Hall at the Aberdeen Cultural Centre (Moncton) on October 22, 2026. The Awards show kicks off Semaine MNB Week, taking place in Moncton until October 24, 2026.
Tickets will go on sale on October 1, 2026.
