Véronique Wade, elected president of MNB

Posted Bydawn

Véronique Wade, owner of Agence Wade in Caraquet, was elected as president of Music•Musique NB's Board of Directors. She replaces Richard Hornsby, musician and director of UNB's Centre for Musical Arts in Fredericton, who held the position since 2009.

Motivated by her passion for the arts and for events, Véronique Wade specializes in artist management, booking and promotion. She has over 15 years of experience in management, communications and marketing, and she is currently working with artists like Pierre Guitard, Dave Puhacz, Shaun Ferguson and Les Païens.

"I'm looking forward to this new challenge," says Ms. Wade. "The coming year will be a period of growth for our association. The transfer of the Music Industry Development (MID) Program and the expansion of our staff will enable us to better serve the music sector and to foster and promote our New Brunswick artists."

"I am confident that Véronique will rise to the occasion admirably," mentions Richard Hornsby, outgoing president of the MNB Executive Committee. "Her dedication and enthusiasm will carry our current projects to term and open up new paths for our association," concludes Hornsby.

Richard Hornsby will stay on the Executive Committee of MNB, as vice-president, while Shawn Bostick, of SCRB Management in Sackville, will continue as treasurer.
