Jacob Rose

Folk, Indie, Rock

With heartfelt energy, Jacob Rose is a Canadian singer-songwriter based out of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Mixing rural roots with insight and influence from extensive travel, Jacob’s songs offer hopeful melancholy and nostalgic reimaginings of genre.

Jacob Rose shows are personal. He gets right into deep values, vision, and protest, without things feeling heavy-handed. There’s light and air in Jacob’s approach.

Jacob has had the privilege of supporting seasoned performers such as Sam Roberts Band, Leeroy Stagger, Andrew Smith, Brent Mason, Zachari Smith and others on stage.

In 2015, Jacob Rose recorded his first E.P. titled ‘Last Another Day’ at Lake Studios in Kelowna, BC. The song “Marco Polo” was a runner-up at the 2016 YYC Music Awards in Calgary. In 2016, Rose released The Bare Bone Sessions, a home studio project that almost burned a house down.

Jacob released his sophomore EP, Can’t Hold It All on June 12, 2020. Featuring heavier folk undertones, and moving between dissonance and groove, this EP asserts that harmony is still possible. Jacob gratefully acknowledges the support of FACTOR in bringing this project to fruition. #FACTORFunded
