Music Runs Through It was founded in 2012 by live music advocate Emma Chevarie as a simple way to share when and where live music was happening around town. It soon evolved into a respected presenter of live performances, building partnerships with local businesses, supporting artists, and fostering a vibrant community of music lovers.

As Fredericton’s music scene grew, so did MRTI. Through projects like the Cold Snap Music Series and work with the East Coast Music Awards, Emma collaborated with Krista Touesnard and Rob Pinnock of The Tipsy Muse Café. Their shared passion for live music led to the creation of The MRTI Agency, expanding MRTI’s original vision to include artist management and venue support services.

Today, The MRTI Agency continues to promote and present live shows across Fredericton and beyond—from intimate art galleries to theatre stages—while also offering artist management and event coordination. The Agency is currently very excited to be working with The Hello Crows, to elevate their collective voices to a wider audience.

Experience along with a versatile set of combined skills have afforded The MRTI Agency the opportunity to take on larger scale projects. This has led to collaborations with the City of Fredericton on its summer concert series, the Province of New Brunswick for the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony, and the New Brunswick Highland Games on major concert events with highly successful results.

In addition, MRTI curates two annual concert series; one focusing on singer-songwriters taking place each fall and an exciting blues series to keep things moving over the winter months. The MRTI Agency also produces the much-loved Kenny & Dolly Christmas Tribute which has sold out venues across New Brunswick since 2023.
