(506) - PROUD TO BE FROM NB!

Posted Bydawn

Music•Musique NB (MNB) would like to clarify that the newly formed event "Area 506" is not affiliated with Festival (506), produced annually by Music•Musique NB.

Festival (506) is four days of concerts, conferences, and industry awards, bringing together the best musical talent New Brunswick has to offer. This year, Festival (506) is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Miramichi, from October 13th to 16th 2016.

"While MNB applauds all community-based events which promote and celebrate New Brunswick culture, we recognize that there may be confusion regarding the branding of this new event with the 506 name," explains Jean Surette, Executive Director of MNB. Festival (506), originally known as Semaine MNB Week, was re-branded in 2014, in order to better resonate with all residents of the province, regardless of location or language. Festival (506) is a migrating event, taking place in various cities across New Brunswick, year after year.

"We congratulate the committee members of this new event in Saint John and would welcome the opportunity to work with Area 506 to help them achieve their goal of highlighting New Brunswick artists," continues Surette.

Tickets for Festival (506) go on sale this summer and start at 10$ each.
