The Board of Directors of Music·Musique NB (MNB) has officially announced the appointment of Christine Dubé as the association’s Executive Director. Ms. Dubé had been serving in the role on an interim basis since last May, when Jean Surette stepped down after 18 years with the association.

“We are extremely pleased to have Christine at the helm of our organization,” said Eva George, president of MNB. “Her outstanding work over the past four years, as well as the leadership she has demonstrated throughout her interim tenure, are just a few of the reasons that convinced the board to confirm Christine in this position. We are confident that she will ensure the sustainability of our association while addressing the ever-evolving challenges facing our industry.”

“It is a tremendous privilege to continue my journey at MNB as Executive Director,” adds Ms. Dubé. “I am deeply committed to our music community and firmly believe in the talent and potential of our industry. I look forward to continuing to develop our association to meet the needs of its members and contribute to the growth of a strong, inclusive, and sustainable music industry in New Brunswick.”

Christine Dubé has been active in the music industry for nearly 15 years. Throughout her career, she has held a variety of roles within the industry, including positions at live music venues, as a booking agent, event coordinator, and administrator.

In 2018, she founded Cool Cats Agency, a management and booking agency representing artists from Atlantic Canada. Since July 2022, she has been working at Music·Musique NB, where she has been involved in artist and industry development.
