Position: Program Coordinator - Anglophone Stream

Application period: August 4 to September 1, 2025

Work location: Remote, with the option to work from Music·Musique NB’s office in Moncton

Position type: Part-time (12 to 14 hours/week)

Contract type: Contractual

Start date: October 2025

Salary: between 26$ and 28$ / hour, depending on experience.

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with Vincent Quirion (Eastern Canada Program, Francophone Stream) and Alexis Normand (Western/Northern Canada Program, Francophone Stream) to coordinate and manage the training sessions for program’s anglophone stream. This role includes communicating with artists and facilitators, overseeing the translation of content from French to English, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the in-person events. The coordinator will also provide direct support and mentorship to two (2) participating New Brunswick artists to help them achieve their professional goals.

About Us

L'Arrière Scène Backstage is a training program for emerging artists navigating the often complex and competitive world of the music industry. Funded by Musicaction and developed and delivered by Music·Musique NB, this initiative supports artists in becoming more autonomous and professional by developing essential self-management skills and using online project management tools. Lead by industry professional Vincent Quirion, the program is a mix of virtual courses offered every two weeks along with personalized coaching. Participants explore key topics such as artistic identity, career planning, grant writing, tour booking, copyright, album promotion, and more.

Founded in 1998, Music·Musique NB (MNB) is the provincial music industry association that supports, amplifies and represents New Brunswick’s music community through development, promotion and celebration. iIts primary responsibility is to serve the interests of our members and is committed to inclusivity, equity, and the fight against discrimination.

Main Responsibilities

  • Program coordination: Coordinate the logistics of virtual classes, adapt and manage the translation of training materials, and organize the in-person event involving travel.
  • Communication and coordination: Act as a liaison between artists, facilitators, and partners, share key program information, and contribute to the program’s social media content.
  • Mentorship and artist support: Provide personalized mentorship to artists by tracking their progress and advising them on various aspects of their careers.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Track artists' development throughout the program and collect feedback to help improve the program.
  • Administration: Gérer les tâches administratives liées au volet anglophone, incluant la facturation et le respect du budget établi pour le projet.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Music Industry Knowledge: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an artist manager, booking agent, event coordinator, or in a similar role related to the performing arts or artist management.
  • Education: A background in cultural enterprise management or a related field is an asset. Relevant training and work experience in the music industry will also be considered.
  • Language skills: Excellent command of spoken and written English, and a good understanding of French.
  • Tools: Proficient with online management tools such as Google Workspace, Airtable, Coda and similar platforms
  • Skills and abilities: Demonstrates rigour, autonomy, and resourcefulness, with the ability to manage priorities and adapt to changing situations.
  • Residency: Must be a resident of New Brunswick.
