Originaire de Memramcook, Samuel Bourgeois apporte un souffle nouveau dans le monde du bluegrass, offrant un son à la fois moderne et enraciné. Accompagné de musiciens aux talents remarquables, Samuel a réussi à sortir la contrebasse, la guitare acoustique, le banjo, le violon et les harmonies hors de l’ordinaire avec ses arrangements de chansons qui donnent un résultat de surprises agréables tout au long du trajet. Sur scène, il transforme chaque concert en un voyage imprévu, où l’on rit, où l’on rêve, où l’on se reconnaît.
Après avoir joué avec différents groupes pendant quelques années, il décide de s’élancer solo pour explorer où les instruments à cordes pouvaient l’emmener afin de faire naître un son distinct. Son tout premier spectacle solo au Monument Lefebvre en novembre 2021 marque le début d’une aventure prometteuse où déjà son nom commence à circuler comme un artiste émergent incontournable.
Depuis, ses chansons ont pris racine sur les scènes et les ondes, menant à la sortie de son premier album, Garde un œil ouvert, en mai 2024. Son approche rafraîchissante du bluegrass s’est déjà fait entendre dans des vitrines et festivals majeurs en Acadie, au Québec et en Ontario, annonçant seulement les premières pages d’un parcours qui ne cesse de prendre de l’ampleur. Un deuxième album est actuellement en préparation et sera lancé à l’automne 2026.
Finaliste au prestigieux Gala de la chanson de Caraquet en 2024, lauréat d’un accès direct à la demi-finale du Festival International de la chanson de Granby 2025, Samuel Bourgeois est une voix à suivre. Avec son style sans compromis et son charisme authentique, il fait vibrer le bluegrass au rythme d’une nouvelle génération.

Originally from Memramcook, Samuel Bourgeois brings a renewed energy to the world of bluegrass, with a sound that is both modern and rooted. Backed by a group of remarkably talented musicians, he takes the upright bass, acoustic guitar, banjo, fiddle, and vocal harmonies to unexpected places through inventive arrangements that surprise and delight at every turn. On stage, each performance becomes an unpredictable journey, one where you laugh, dream, and maybe even see yourself reflected in the music.
After spending a few years playing in various groups, Samuel set off on his solo path to explore how far string instruments could take him, and in the process, began shaping his own sound. His very first solo show, at the Monument Lefebvre in November 2021, marked the start of a promising adventure that quickly earned him a place as an artist to watch.
Since then, his songs have grown on stage and on the airwaves, leading up to the release of his debut album Garde un œil ouvert in May 2024.
