Sara and James Nelson are a sibling group that enjoys playing fiddle tunes and singing.  They have been performing at fundraisers, churches, nursing homes, hospitals, and for 6 summers as part of the Molly Kool Kitchen Parties at Fundy National Park.  Recently they have joined the Lumber Jills, directed by Stacey Read out of Sackville.  They are both members of the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers with Ivan and Vivian Hicks and are always featured performers as part of their shows.  With the Sussex Avenue Fiddlers, they have performed at the Riverview Arts Centre, Harbourfront Jubilee, the Maritime Fiddle Festival, Moncton Ribfest and the Riverview Canada Day celebrations.  Both Sara and James enjoy attending fiddle contests, and have both won the Maritime Fiddle Festival, and have finished high in contests in NB, NS, and Ontario.

Sara enjoys playing fiddle and piano and also step dances.  James enjoys playing guitar, fiddle, and mandolin.

As part of the Lumber Jills, they have performed at festivals such as Levee on the Lake, Cavendish Beach Music Festival and the Festival of Small Halls.  Recently, as a Duo, they were excited to play at the 47th Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival
